Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. But there is also a way to drink water. If water is not drunk properly, it will not benefit and may be harmful.

Metabolism of the body is correct by drinking water-

Drinking a sufficient amount of water keeps the metabolism of the body good, which leads to digestion properly. Fat does not accumulate in the body by drinking water. Our body is made up of 75 percent water and water itself helps in transporting nutrients to different parts of the body.

Some say that one should not drink water on an empty stomach, some say that one should drink water on an empty stomach. Some say that one should drink water after eating, and some say before eating. Then when and how to drink water, how much should be drunk. Drinking water in the wrong way can cause many diseases in the body and we never pay attention to this simple thing. One should drink 2 glasses of water after waking up in the morning. According to Ayurveda, drinking water on an empty stomach in the morning is very beneficial. It would be better if there is lukewarm hot water. By doing this, toxins are released from the body and the body cleanses well. Also, drinking water on an empty stomach in the morning provides relief in constipation. Apart from this, water should be drunk about 30 minutes before eating food, because of which the food is easily digested. Do not drink water immediately after meals along with food. Drinking water at least half an hour after eating food is beneficial for health.

Actually, our saliva is alkaline in nature and water should be given time to mix with saliva, so that it stabilizes the acid in our stomach. Apart from this, drinking water in once can upset your stomach. Ayurveda also says that water should be drunk only when thirsty.

Drinking water at this time is beneficial –

According to the study, drinking water half an hour before bathing does not cause blood pressure and drinking water before bedtime reduces the risk of a heart attack. We should leave home after drinking water. Also after exercising, drink water so that there is no problem of dehydration.

If you stand and drink water, the water rapidly goes to the lower part of the stomach due to which the nutrients of water are not available in sufficient quantity to the body and the problem of knee pain is also mentioned in Ayurveda.

Drink water by sipping-

Water should be sipped slowly instead of drinking once. The reason for this is that when we drink water, our saliva also enters the water. Drinking water slowly helps to strengthen the digestive system.

How to drink water –

According to Ayurveda, the temperature of the water you are drinking should not be colder than the body temperature. In summer, many people drink cold water from the fridge as soon as they reach home, which damages the body. Drinking too much cold water can cause many problems in the body. So instead of drinking too much cold and ice water, drink only normal water. As far as possible clean water should be drunk and should not be depended on RO or mineral water. On doing this our body gets habitual of RO or mineral water. Whenever we drink normal water outside as per the need, there is a possibility of falling ill. However, where RO water is required and recommended, definitely use RO water there.
